Hi Guys,
Is there a way to automatically import the Locator (Grid Square) and the IOTA ??
I have noticed that even if this information is displayed in the 'Call Book' window, it is not saved in the logbook.
I would really like this information to be automatically added to the logbook, as I like to keep track of IOTA, and I also print off Maps of station contacted for the website.

Re: Call Book Import?
Hi James,
I am afraid that the Call Book might have no explicit fields for this data, but Ben can say more at this.
How up to date the data is in the Call Book really - in particular, how actual is the locator?..
We had several discussions here (unfortunately in German), which have usually ended with the conclusion that we do not want to have too much automatism, because the data tends to be less and less reliable over time!

Hi James,
IOTA numbers are not contained in RAC, Area Codes only for U.S. call signs.
I think, the importance of Call Books decreases and the data are often outdated.
You can mark any text in the Call Book window using the mouse, copy it into clipboard with Ctrl+Ins and paste it into the Work window field with Shift+Ins.

Re: Call Book Import?
Thanks for the help anyway, its just that after the latest contest I have had to manually add over 1100 locators manually which was not fun...
Thanks anyway...

Re: Call Book Import?
I generate Maps of Contacts made for the crews websites, such as the one at the address below which was for the guys from DARC OV P08 DXpedition to the Isle of Man this year!
Thanks anyway.

Re: Call Book Import?
Hi James,
I understand your problem but there is no function in UcxLog for an automatic update of all QSOs with locators taken from some databases, sorry.
I think such a function is not really useful because all databases are containing a lot of wrong or outdated locators and many calls have multiple locators.
Possibly you should try to use an database program (EXCEL, dBase?) to link the list of call signs (exported from UcxLog) with a locator list.
