RTTY
Hi ..
Now when I am in the process of testing period of the program.
So I try to run something RTTY on it too, but can not quite figure out the setup program.
I have a Yaesu FT-450D
Singnalink USB.
Can easily get the program and CAT to work.
But do not completely understand how the additional setup should be???
Must just be with it is still trying period I am working on, do not know if it would have any effect.
Is there someone who can explain to me why or where it goes wrong for me??

Re: RTTY
Hello,
you should explain, what works and where is the problem.
First step:
What happens if you choose mode "RTTY" in UcxLog ? Opens the MMTTY engine ?
73 Ben
Supplement:
There is no "setup" program for RTTY.
There are no restrictions in the UcxLog test phase.

Hello Ben.
No no it does not look like it will start up something like that.
When I go in and choose RTTYmode I get this picture. no 1
And here's happening no more?
If I go into the program settings, so I can not check MMTTY engine Pic no 2

Re: RTTY
Did you follow the Help ?
Use "Search" and type "MMTTY", then select chapter "Program-Start":

If the MMTTY engine should be used for RTTY, the file MMTTY.EXE must be existing in addition (see http://hamsoft.ca/pages/mmtty.php). At least MMTTY engine V1.65 should be used.

The background looks white (instead of gray), so it should be clickable.oz6bam hat geschrieben:If I go into the program settings, so I can not check MMTTY engine Pic no 2
Otherwise, follow Ben's advice and copy the file into the program directory.

Re: RTTY
Hello Nameless
,
it is fairly easy to setup. Get the MMTTY engine from http://hamsoft.ca/pages/mmtty.php.
Just make sure to download the engine (the MMTTY program itself is not needed).
The download for the engine can be found almost in the middle of the page, just scroll down a bit
Once downloaded, unpack the exe file from the engine into the UCX program directory and make sure in the UCX settings MMTTY is checked.
Restart UCXLog and enjoy..
What TRX will you be using and do you want to use AFSK or FSK?

But now I have got it to work Wiiiiiii! Come on, it took a long time with this old junk

For some reason (probably myself) then it would not start RTTY up. Suddenly it seemed the program.
Can not explain why or how, but now it works.
However, you should probably just get used to running with the keys F1 & F2-3-4-5 and forward it on.

But it will now probably go a little messed up in this weekend's contest and I accept it as it comes and learn from it.
But have not exactly figured out how to possibly directs some in makcro is already?

Re: RTTY
Hello Keld,
I'm glad to see it works now for you..
If you are not into ragchewing on RTTY, the macros can be quite short and simple like:

Of course you can do them well-formed and "big" for ragchewing, if you want to
The keywords for macros are mentioned in the help / windows / send and there are quite a few for normal qsos as well as for contests.
Just be aware, "copy and paste" in the send window is not via crtl-c / crtl-v but with crtl-insert / shift+insert.
Hope that helps, 73 de Holger "Adi"

Re: RTTY
Hmm?
Simply can not get it to decode any of the messages I hear on RTTY?
I'm running on 14085.49mhz SSB and as you can see I get through my sound card an excellent signal for the program?
But why I can not decode the signals, there does not seem menu using has given me the solution to this?
Are there any who are on a Skype session where in you can guide me through the last setup menu

Look to your "RTTY Control Panel" picture:
There is nothing what looks like a RTTY signal.
You must see two peaks (Mark and Space frequency, see below), but this is basic know-how about RTTY/MMTTY, not UcxLog.
The UcxLog settings are ok, the "CW/SSB soundcard" is not relevant for RTTY (see MMTTY options), "AFSK" and "TX" are not relevant for "FSK".

Do not think I quite understand what you meant?

Is not so important anymore, because I've got it working now.

And must admit after BARTG-HF RTTY contests , I am very positively about the program.

The top would be if it once came to support PSK modes in the same manner as RTTY is at the moment so that it can be used in the same manner Contest.
Playing now forward it to the program, and must admit that written further up a great program
